Good morning, School of Media friends and alumni.
As you’ve all likely heard by now, WKU’s Communication, Public Relations and Advertising programs will all be re-joining the School in the Fall of 2023. Most people remember that Ad and PR – part of the School since the 1970s – were removed in 2017. Many people don’t realize that Comm and Broadcasting were together until the 1990s and the formation of the School of Journalism & Broadcasting. For the first time ever, all of our previous units will be back together under one banner next year.
The faculty and staff of the newly-unified unit would like to adopt ‘School of Media & Communication’ as our new name. Before we move forward with anything official, though, we welcome your feedback. As always, you can reach me directly at [email protected].
