NEWSLETTERS

Life on Top – the College Heights Herald newsletter. This newsletter goes to more than 30,000 subscribers every weekday during the academic semesters and weekly during winter and summer breaks.

Talisman newsletter. This weekly newsletter covers the life and culture of WKU and its surrounding community, going to more than 20,000 subscribers.

WKUHerald.com. The website of the College Heights Herald launched in 1994 and was one of the first college news sites to go online. The website offers fresh content multiple times every day.

WKUTalisman.com. The website of Talisman life and culture magazine launched in 2016 and publishes an eclectic collection of daily content reflecting the WKU community.

WKUApartments.com. The leading apartment-hunting website for the Bowling Green market, specializing in properties that cater to WKU students, faculty and staff.

WKUGrads.com. A companion to our semesterly Grad Guide, this website is a place where parents and friends can congratulate graduating seniors.

College Heights Herald. A news magazine focused on news and issues important to the WKU community and published three times each semester, featuring exclusive enterprise content that has not appeared elsewhere before publication in the printed magazine.

Talisman. A high-end magazine featuring exceptional photography, long-form storytelling, arts and culture, published at the end of each academic semester.

Specialty publications. A wide variety of content produced by the Cherry Creative branded content studio for clients. Publications include A Table for Y’all dining guide, Adulting magazine, Fit magazine, Best of the Hill readers’ choice publication, WKU Housing GuideGrad Guides published each semester listing every graduating senior, and View of the Hill, a summer informational magazine mailed to the home of every incoming freshman.

EVENTS

WKU Housing Fair – Fall edition. An outdoor festival on WKU’s Centennial Mall showcasing all the options for student living, from residence halls to college suites.

WKU Housing Fair – Spring edition. A takeover of Downing Student Union each February, showcasing all the options for student living along with things you need as a renter, such as insurance, utilities and other accessories.

Best of the Hill Festival. An outdoor festival each spring where businesses from throughout the Bowling Green area vie for votes in the College Heights Herald’s annual Best of the Hill issue.

OUTDOOR

WKU Student Publications can offer you the only outdoor advertising on campus outside of athletic facilities. Our 10 outdoor distribution kiosks feature poster-sized advertising opportunities and are strategically located at areas of the campus with consistently high foot traffic and exceptional visibility. Our five indoor kiosks also have advertising posters and are located in heavily used buildings throughout the campus.

Both the Talisman and the College Heights Herald are in the Associated Collegiate Press Hall of Fame, and both are members of ACP’s Pacemaker 100, the most successful student media in the country. In fact, the College Heights Herald is No. 6 on the list of the most successful student media outlets of the past century.

All together, WKU Student Publications holds 44 national Pacemaker awards, the highest honor in collegiate journalism — 22 for Talisman, 21 for the Herald and 1 (the first-ever Innovation Pacemaker) for Cherry Creative. In 2022, our students won thee Pacemakers — the Newspaper Pacemaker for the Herald, the Online Pacemaker for the Herald and the Online Pacemaker for Talisman. Additionally, both the Herald and the Talisman were finalists for the Multiplatform Pacemaker, and Talisman was a finalist for the Magazine Pacemaker.
