66th Homecoming Breakfast set — 9 a.m., Oct. 22

heraldflag_bigger-01The 66th annual Student Publications Homecoming Breakfast starts at a more leisurely hour this year — 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22. And again this year, we will be right in the center of all the action, with the breakfast on the third floor of Downing Student Union (still known to many of us as DUC).

We’ve got a great lineup planned: Your favorite breakfast (eggs, country ham, biscuits, sausage, fruit, etc.), some fabulous winners of the College Heights Herald and Talisman awards, and one final visit to our breakfast from Gary Ransdell before he retires from 20 years as WKU president next summer.

This year, thankfully, the football game against Old Dominion is at 6 p.m. — so there will be more weblogothan ample time for tailgating festivities after the breakfast!

Invitations should be arriving in the next few weeks, and a ticket to the breakfast is $15. If you want to go ahead and make your reservation, call Tracy Newton at 270-745-2653.

I hope you’ll make plans to visit us on the Hill Oct. 22 for our 66th alumni Homecoming gathering.
