Both of WKU’s flagship student publications, the College Heights Herald and the Talisman, are among the Pacemaker 100 announced by the Associated Collegiate Press.
That means the Herald and the Talisman are among the 100 most successful student-run publications in the 100-year history of ACP, as measured by their success at winning national Pacemaker awards and being finalists for the award.
And WKU is among just a handful of schools — and the only one in Kentucky — to have more than one publication among the Pacemaker 100.
Congratulations to a long line of alumni and current students whose work has consistently been among the very best in the nation!
And congratulations to our friends at the Kentucky Kernel, the Eastern Progress at EKU and The Murray State News, which also are among the Pacemaker 100.
Kentucky has a long tradition of strong student-run collegiate journalism, something for which the Commonwealth should be proud!
