J. Scott Applewhite became the 14th alumnus with ties to WKU Student Publications to be inducted into the WKU Hall of Distinguished Alumni at the 2019 Homecoming festivities Oct. 18-19.
Applewhite, a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer for The Associated Press, was on the staffs of the College Heights Herald and the Talisman while at WKU. Before joining The AP, he also worked for The Gleaner in Henderson and The Palm Beach Post and The Miami Herald in Florida.
