Our second WKU Student Publications Night at Grassa Gramma Ristorante Italiano in Louisville brought in nearly $1,400 for the Student Publications Legacy Fund.
The restaurant, owned by WKU alumnus Kevin Grangier, saw an outstanding turning for the Sunday night event. A typical Sunday night brings in 60-80 customers, but the Oct. 12 dinner service saw 212 diners by 8 p.m.

Julie A. Harrison Hinson, also a WKU alum and corporate engagement director for Grangier’s Belle Noble Entertainment Group, arranged the Student Pubs event for the second year in a row.
Hinson, a former member of the WKU Board of Regents, also is a strong supporter of Student Publications, endowing the Hinson Opportunity Fund for Student Publications, which allows us to help students facing financial difficulties.
Funds raised from the event included about $880 from the restaurant, $130 from a silent auction and individual donations from the night.
The money will go into the Student Publications Legacy Fund in the College Heights Foundation, which gives us money to spend on immediate needs, training and the occasional deadline pizzas.
We so appreciate everyone who turned out for the evening!
