Student Pubs a finalist for Student Media Business Pacemaker

Congratulations to Cherry Creative and Student Publications Advertising on being named a Finalist for the Associated Collegiate Press Student Media Business Pacemaker Award!
The business side of WKU Student Publications won the Student Media Business Pacemaker in 2024, so this recognition as a finalist this year shows that excellent work by our students is continuing. Winners of the Business Pacemaker will be announced in March at the Spring National College Media Conference in Long Beach, California.
Last year was the first time our business units combined to enter the Business Pacemaker competition, so I’m especially proud of the continuing success.
Since winning our first Pacemakers in 1978 for the Talisman and in 1981 for the College Heights Herald, WKU Student Publications has brought 49 Pacemakers home to Bowling Green — 25 for the Herald, 22 for the Talisman, 1 for Cherry Creative and 1 for Student Publications Advertising and Cherry Creative.
The Pacemaker is the premier honor in collegiate media, and the 49 awarded to WKU Student Publications is among the highest number in the nation. Just since 2020, our four student-led areas have brought home 12, more than any other student media group in the country!
Congratulations to the student leaders and staff members of Cherry Creative and Student Publications Advertising!
