Diddle Arena has them for the basketball and volleyball teams.
Smith Stadium has them for football.
And now Student Publications is flying championship banners for the Talisman, the College Heights Herald, Student Publications Advertising and Cherry Creative.

Workers from WKU’s facilities department arrived at the Adams-Whitaker Student Publications Center Friday morning to hoist banners for our 50 (so far) national Pacemaker Awards, the student media version of a national championship.
With 25 Pacemakers, the Herald ranks as the sixth most successful student media outlet in the history of the Pacemakers, awarded by Associated Collegiate Press. The Talisman’s 22 Pacemakers qualify it for The Pacemaker 100, the 100 most successful publications. Advertising and Cherry Creative share two Student Media Business Pacemakers and Cherry Creative won the first Innovation Pacemaker in 2020.
Those 50 Pacemakers — our national champuionships — make WKU Student Publications one of the most successful student media groups in the country.
The banners, created for the Student Publications Centennial celebration, made their first appearance at the Centennial Luncheon in April. Now that they’re on permanent display at Student Pubs, they can be lowered to update if our students bring home any additional Pacemaker Awards.
Talisman is a finalist for two Pacemakers — Multiplatform and Feature Magazine — and the Herald is a finalist for the Newsmagazine Pacemaker. Those honors will be announced at the National College Media Convention Oct. 18 in Washington, D.C.
