Our seventh Spring Housing Fair, hosted by Cherry Creative and Student Publications Advertising, was our most successful yet.
The event, staged throughout the main floor of Downing Student Union, drew 12 clients and hundreds of WKU students searching through all their options for a place to live starting in the fall semester. All of the major apartment complexes that cater to students were represented, along with WKU Housing and Residence Life, a smaller property management company and a storage business.
The event, along with the annual WKU Housing Guide we published, generated a record $25,938, exceeding a stretch goal of $25,000.
The Spring Housing Fair and Housing Guide have become our single-largest revenue generator.
Other special events and specialty publications from by Cherry Creative and Student Publications Advertising include the Best of the Hill Festival and publication, the Fall Housing Fair, Grad Guides for spring and fall graduations and the Bowling Green Dining Guide, a collaboration with the Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Cherry Creative is a branded content studio led by Director Nicole Johnson, a senior from Lexington. Student Publications Advertising is a media sales force is led by Manager Keelin Davis, a senior from Mount Washington. Avari Stamps is the advertising adviser and Sam Oldenburg advises Cherry Creative.
